Rabada was born to his beloved mother, Florence Rabada, and his proud father, Mpho Rabada, in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Mpho is a brain surgeon who taught his son to stand up for what he believes in and has been very humbled and in awe of his drive to succeed. Likewise, Florence is a lawyer who serves in the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure at The Council for the Built Environment.

Raised in a privileged suburb, the athlete is thankful for having a solid father who has always been there for him through his good and bad days. Furthermore, the doctor realized that reaching heights, although some parents might not think their child could, is possible; Kagiso proved it.
