Sophie Monk revealed on Wednesday she got ‘fired’ by husband Joshua from using Google Maps to navigate their surroundings while on holiday in Mallorca, Spain.

The 42-year-old television presenter posted a video to Instagram Stories of her struggling to navigate the Mallorca streets during a stroll and looking to the app for directions.

She had trouble identifying which way was north and angrily vented ‘I can’t tell if I’m backwards!’

The former singer continued pacing back and forth hoping to identify her surroundings on Google Maps but was unsuccessful.

Sophie’s husband Joshua Gross asks her ‘you got it?’ and Sophie initially responded with an excited ‘yep’.

Unfortunately, she spoke to soon and quickly switched her answer to a rejected ‘no’.

She subsequently revealed, ‘I got fired from google mapping’.

Sophie and her husband Joshua have traveled to Europe so she can film the latest season of Channel Nine dating show Love Island Australia.

It comes as Nine dropped a Spanish-inspired promo featuring Monk dancing with a shirtless man to promote the upcoming series.

Speaking Spanish, the presenter kicks her legs and twists before embracing in a tango with the handsome dancer.

‘Your desires will surely explode,’ she says in Spanish before a voice-over declares ‘the hottest show on TV is back’.

The show, set to air next month, will return to Spain, where the popular British series is also filmed, after the 2021 season moved to Byron Bay due to Covid lockdown restrictions.
